6 days Mt. Kenya climb Through Timau gate and finish through Chogoria Gate

After your breakfast in the morning in your hotel in Nairobi you will drive to Nanyuki where some time is spent organising and sorting equipment for your trek. After lunch   you are driven to the Timau road head where you will begin your trek up Mount Kenya from the north. Overnight is in high altitude mountain tents at the Timau road head campsite with Dinner.

You will hike across beautiful northern moorland of Mount Kenya with its unique flora, possibly seeing so many of the wildlife, which wander up these northern slopes - zebra, eland, etc. with overnight at the Camp near the Western Marania River campsite with Dinner.

You will  continue your trek over rolling moorland country to camp at the headwaters of the Kathita East drainage campsite with Dinner and overnight.

Hike up to the spectacular Mintos Hut,where the beautiful rock formation, known as the Temple, stands guard over Lake Michaelson, 1,000 feet below with dinner and overnight at Mintos campsite.

Early in the morning at 0300hrs you will climb to the summit point Lenana 4985m, then down to Mintos for break fast then descend to Chogoria Gate Campsite, for dinner and overnight.

You will walk to Chogoria gate and drive to Chogoria town and after breakfast and then drive back to Nairobi and on arrival in Nairobi you will be dropped at Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight to your next destination or dropped at your Nairobi hotel of your choice at your own cost.
